Resourcers work on PSL assignments, with a deal bonus. Recruiters and Senior Recruiters sell our services and candidates, and deliver on their own and PSL assignments, with excellent commission, as do Managing Consultants, supported by the Resourcing team.

Resourcers use the full range of medias (our extensive database, OilandGasJobSearch, Rigzone, LinkedIn); experienced Energy Engineers, Managers, Specialists and Project Professionals often register exclusively for their next role; advertising is posted and filtered for you. As a Recruiter on Business Development you are allocated Target Clients we’ve dealt with for years, to prospect new line managers and HR, plus research your own leads. Most Consultants work 8.45 am - 5.45 pm, with our culture concentrating on providing excellent Customer Service to existing accounts rather than just hitting target.

Resourcers and Recruiters are expected to be, or become, experts within Energy Disciplines, so they can talk credibly to Clients and Candidates about technical projects and make competent hiring judgments. We appreciate it takes time for you to become an expert, and invest in this. Roles you will work on include Chemical, Civil, Commissioning, Contracts, Cost, Drilling, Electrical, Estimating, Geoscience, Inspection, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Piping, Planning, Procurement, QA, QC, Rotating Equipment, QS, Safety, Subsea, Shipping. Via our offices and entities around the world, including London, Houston, Norway, Perth, Singapore and East Africa we receive some of the most interesting assignments, with you liaising with our Operations & Travel team to mobilise and payroll expat Contractors compliantly.

If joining at Resourcer level, which does not require client development, you are likely to have at least 6 months commercial experience, and an understanding of Recruitment and Engineering, on top of a good education. For example you may have done an Engineering degree but wish to work in a more commercial environment, or you may have worked in B2B sales and have a strong technical bias, or you may have done general technical recruitment and now wish to specialise. You will work with a broad variety of end client, including the majors - BG, BP, ExxonMobil, Total - giving more variety than an Internal Recruiter role, plus more reward and progression to Recruiter as you develop expertise, with training in Recruitment, Sales and Energy.
