As a quantity surveyor, you will undertake feasibility studies and manage the building or construction projects costs, from initial proposal to final analysis of final costs at the project’s end. This is a vital role in the evaluation of associated risks and costs of high-value projects in the industry. You must hold a degree in a relevant engineering or surveying subject or equivalent.
Employers may also look for membership of RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors).
£20,000 - £30,000, rising to £45,000 - £80,000 with experience.
You could progress to roles including: proposals engineer, contracts engineer, or supervisor or manager in a contracts/proposals team or department.
