Electrical engineers design, develop and maintain electrical systems and/or components to the required standards. They focus on safety, reliability, quality and sustainability. They support the electrical and control equipment, both onshore and offshore, to ensure that it remains productive and efficient. Electrical engineers might work for a range of companies, including companies who own or manage production facilities (known as operators), service companies and engineering consultancies.

You must have an HND in a related engineering subject with relevant work experience or equivalent, or a degree in a related engineering discipline or equivalent.
Good communication skills and strong team working skill are useful.
£23,000 – £30,000 rising to £45,000 upwards (once Chartered)
You could progress to become a senior engineer, a principal engineer or a consultant.
