Divers carry out a variety of subsea tasks and responsibilities including welding or carrying out inspections. They communicate with top side engineering teams regarding the condition of subsea structures, equipment and materials, so that repairs can be planned in to the work schedule. When they are not diving, they carry out other operational support duties. Working days can be long, and can be based in some of the harshest subsea environmental conditions in the North Sea, or abroad.

You must hold HSE 1st Aid @ Work & O2 Provider (Commercial Diving Endorsement), HSE Professional SCUBA (Part 4), HSE Surface Supplied (Part 3), HSE Wet-Bell Top-Up (Part 1).
Previous experience as a commercial diver is desirable, as is an HNC/HND/ BTEC in trade or engineering discipline, or the equivalent. Experience in welding, cutting and NDT are also useful.
£40,000 - £65,000, rising to £60,000 upwards with experience
You might progress to roles including: saturation diver, hyperbaric welders, or diving supervisor.
